Hello, my name is Amanda. I am a Dental Hygienist at Family Dental Associates. I have been with FDA for 12 years! I love our office, staff and patients here! I love being able to work one on one with our patients. I graduated from U of L with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Dental Hygiene in 2007.
I am married and have two wonderful boys. I spend a lot of my free time with my family. We are involved in sports, mainly basketball. Outside of sports we love being outdoors, hiking, fishing and bike riding. Now that you know a little about me, I can't wait to meet you and learn about you!
My name is Bonnie Deason. I've been a dental hygienist for 28 years. I've been a team member at Family Dental Associates for 20 of those years. I love being able to connect with the patients and make a difference in their dental care.
My husband is a retired Marine so we moved around quite a bit. I was glad to find a place I could call home at Family Dental Associates.
My name is Joan and I am an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant/Assistant Facilitator here at Family Dental Associates. I have been here at FDA for 4 years and in the dental field 25 years this year! Wow, where has the time gone? I have always loved teeth! When I was younger, I had an awesome dentist and loved going to the dentist even though I always seemed to need fillings at every check-up. It's when I needed braces that I thought, these girls are so cool and have the best job ever, I want to do this when I grow up! So the dental bug hit me at age 12. I planned on going to college right after high school but instead married my high school sweetheart and traveled the world as a military wife and mother of two wonderful sons.
When I finally returned to Louisville I enrolled in the Dental Assisting program at Jefferson State/Kentucky Technical college. I received my Assistant certificate and then went back a year later to University of Louisville Dental school and completed my Expanded Duty Dental Assisting program for my E.D.D.A certificate. I absolutely love working in the Dental field. I love meeting new people and helping patients feel at ease getting their dental treatment done. Seeing our patients happy, healthy and not afraid to smile anymore is very rewarding to me. Our Doctors, team and patients are great and we are always striving to make our patients comfortable and at ease. Here at FDA it truly is about treating patients like your own family.
In my free time I like to do projects around the house, watch movies, listen to music, going out with friends, and spending time with my sons, daughter in law and grandson Brayden. I have one fur baby, my Yorkie Buddy. I look forward to meeting you so look for me in the office and say hi!
Hello!!! My name is Kelly and I have been an Office Manager in the dental field for the last 15 years. I have a family I love dearly and I enjoy being on the beach, going to church, and singing. In fact, if you are one of our patients, it is quite possible you have been in for a visit and have overheard me humming or singing softly at my desk. I have learned many things in the last 15 years about patient care. A few things that I always want to be worthy of as I serve in this position are to listen to what the patient wants, to be kind and fair, and to work hard. I have been fortunate to work with most of the staff at Family Dental Associates for multiple years and I know for a fact that your smile and dental health are just as important to each of them. I am Mandy and I have been with Family Dental Associates for almost a year, although I've been a patient much longer than that. I am a mom to four kids Gideon, Noah, Jericho and a daughter Shiloh. I am also soon to be married to my fiance Anthony. In my free time I love to do videos on YouTube, to help others who are losing their teeth, spend time at church and be with my family. I absolutely love working at FDA because it gives me the chance to help others and to show my patients that going to the dentist can be a wonderful experience. My name is Marlena and I was raised just across the river in Indiana, though I am slowly learning my way around Louisville. I am currently engaged and getting married this fall. I have always had a love for taking care of others and teeth! I enjoy getting to know each of my patients and learning how to best care for them.
Hi, my name is Tiffany and I have worked for Family Dental Associates since 2014. I graduated from ATA College in 2010 as a Dental Assistant and received my Expanded Duty Dental Assisting certification at University of Louisville. I have been helping people over the past five years to achieve the smile of their dreams ever since. I love working in dentistry and helping to educate patients in their oral health and seeing everyone's beautiful smiles. I have a 14 year old son who is my world, a boxer puppy named Ace and one cat named Maya. In my spare time I like to spend time with friends for game nights, camping, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
